In my inbox - skull hats

Yesterday morning I was completely taken off guard by this treat in my inbox - I got a sweet e-mail from Sarah Horrocks, who had seen my knitted skull hat pattern and knitted two miniature hats for her friend's twin boys, and boy, am I jealous. How obscenely adorable are these two? I really dig the skulls in black, and I like how they match, yet are still different. Sarah also hinted toward a pink version for her daughter. How kick-ass is that?

I was feeling particularly poop while checking my e-mail that morning since I had my wisdom teeth removed the day before, but Sarah managed to pull me out of my extraction-coma. I'm really flattered to know that someone out there thought one of my templates was good enough to tackle, and it didn't turn out disastrous! This makes it worth while.

UPDATE - check out Sarah's pink skull hat here!

4 THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS:

  1. They're adorable! I hope she makes the pink one too.
One day, after I learn to purl, read patterns and how to use circular needles, maybe I'll give it a shot ;)
    The pom-poms I can do.

  2. What an awesome email to get and even better it put a smile on your dial. She did a great job and they look cute.

  3. Incredibly kick ass. I'd love one for my baby (when she's born next year)!

  4. Kick ass they are. Seeing stuff like this makes me excited to have babbies of my own one day. And smother them in corduroy, Hello Kitty/Star Wars paraphernalia, and knitted items.
